A gleaming light shines in the darkness. A pale streak, like the vein of some great creature. Nay... a white shining metal. Once tapped with a pickaxe, it rings lightly. Even sparking, like embers glowing bright in the night. As one holds a torch up, it reflects back. Silver! Pure and true. Silver Ore is a lucky find in any mine, and can be refined into pure silver using Kullzian Salt, which is the only thing in all of the funlands with enough zinc to harden the silver into a sturdy precious metal. Once jealously coveted by Goblins, purely for it's aesthetic beauty, Silver Ore was later discovered to, and is now widely known to work very well with magic spells, rituals and other enchantments, which increase the need for this rare metal to no end among warlocks and shamans, sometimes causing the price to skyrocket in times of high demand. Silver is said to increase the powers of any gemstone it is combined with, making the energy flow more freely between the user and the gem. It is also known to absorb moonlight, increasing its powers significantly in the full moon. It is greatly coveted by Goblin Bankers, who melt the refined ore to be cast into Silver Coins, which are worth much in some parts of the Funlands.
